It's getting to that time of year! For those who aren't last minute buyers, you'd have already started planning/buying christmas presents (I know I have!). review: Reese and Taylor

I was sent this bracelet by a company called Reese and Taylor. They asked me to look through their etsy page, and pick my favourite to review for them! I was torn between a few different pieces, but decided on this Gold metal chain with navy suede, because the colours are perfect together, and they would go with a lot of my outfits!

"Reese & Taylor, LLC was founded in 2012 by childhood best friends, Sue and Audrey. The complimentary skill sets in fashion and business fuse into delivering top quality jewellery, while ensuring to stay current with market trends. "

The fit is perfect for me, not too tight, but not too baggy, and I love that the clasp is quite big, so there's no fiddling around trying to get it on! It retails at £11.56, which for a handmade bracelet is an amazing price! They wrapped it in tissue paper, and included a hand written card thanking me for reviewing them, which shows just how lovely the owners are!

review: Claireabella Polo Jute

Polo Jute* - ToxicFox - £24.99

I was sent this Claireabella Polo Jute from Toxic Fox to review for you guys. Claireabella bags are hugely popular, and whilst I never jumped on the band wagon, I always wanted one, but I wasn't sure of a place that did them to the quality I would want. I don't want to be paying out over £30 for a bag that looks like a child has painted it! This is the first thing that impressed me on this bag - the quality is amazing! It's hand painted, but doesn't look childish - the detail and design looks professional. Secondly it's only £24.99! The bag itself is quite small, I myself would prefer to have a larger one, for shopping (etc). However Toxic Fox has a lot of different size options available, see here for their options - the large jute being only £40. £40 is a good price for a high quality hand painted bag. It can be personalised with a name, hair colour, eye colour, hair length, outfit and skin tone! They make the perfect presents for anyone, because not only are they good for clothes shopping/ taking to school etc, they are perfect for food shopping, so all the mums can use them too! (Truth be told, I do want a big one for food shopping...)

This bag, although being small, can also be used for so much. I love the fact it has a small tag which says "Hand made with love", because it just makes me think it's perfect to put a present in, then as well as a present they get a cute handmade bag! The personalised bags are a nice and thoughtful gift, showing you really know the person by picking their hair/outfit/eye style.

Boohoo Bloggers Challenge

So I received another email about a blogger challenge! This time it's for Boohoo! Not too sure if everyone can enter, because there's no website for it, but if anyone is interested it's ran by Fashion Vouchers!

EDIT: Click here if you want to enter/read more!

"To celebrate making it into our Top 10 Fashion Money Saving Websites list, we have launched a new blogger challenge to find the best outfit for £50 or under at Your outfit can include a dress, shoes, jewellery, accessories and what else you can find as long as the total cost does not exceed £50."

playsuit - £20 // jacket - £15 // rings - £4 // headband - £4 // eyelashes - £3 // shoes - £4
total = £50!

I like to make my money go far, and I think £50 for 6 items is amazing! That makes them an less than £9 each! Since the summer is over, and well we didn't really have a summer - I decided to create a summer look, basically because that playsuit is beautiful! I love the mixture of the print with the lace! I think the print is quite summer, but the colours could also be for autumn, so it can take you from summer to autumn! I paired it with a denim jacket because my denim jacket is my most worn piece for summer, it's comfy and cool, but warm enough for those kind of chilly nights. I then added some rings, because I love wearing jewellery - but the neckline of the playsuit is too busy for a necklace. I then added eyelashes, because I'm really loving them atm - it's the perfect way to make your outfit more glam! I would wear this outfit with my hair in a high big bun, then put the headband on. I love the idea of the two clashing prints, since one's quite light and one's dark. To finish it off - some simple gladiator sandals, for comfort and because they are one of my favourite things to wear in the summer (except when you take them off to find the tan lines!).

Passion for Fashion Bloggers Challenge!

I really do love receiving these kinds of emails, because these challenges combine three of my favourite things: fashion, competitions and blogging! This time I will be entering Passion For Fashion bloggers challenge. All you have to do is create five different outfits for different occasions; party, casual, outdoor, first date and office wear, and each outfit cannot go over £200. I love this challenge, because you can use any site you want! It's not often that I'll wear an outfit that all came from one store, so I think this challenge is really realistic! Also I recently got Paint Shop Pro, so this is the perfect time to experiment with it!

"The aim is to create some fantastic looks for autumn/winter by being as creative and stylish as you can, but also looking for great value products and make potential savings wherever possible."

If you want to find out more, or enter yourself, click here. Here's my entry:
p.s. warning: this ended up a longgg post!

dress - £45 // bag - £30 // shoes - £29.75 // necklace - £12.50 // earrings - £2
 anklet - £7 // ring - £5.99 // gold glitter nail varnish - £2.99

I love topshop's party dresses, I've seen a lot of bloggers talk about those tutu dresses this year which made me realise how beautiful the dresses are! I love this one because it's simple, but really pretty! I wanted to keep with the simpleness, so I went for black shoes, but I think the studs make them more interesting and youthful. I love black and gold together, so for the rest of the outfit I stuck to that colour scheme, I think the black accessorise's would make the dress stand out, and be the focus of the outfit. The clutch matches the shoes, and the jewellery all works well together. I went with a simple necklace, so it didn't take focus away from the beautiful dress, and an anklet instead of a bracelet because I think you should always dress up your feet - as well as the rest of you! This outfit will work well in the British weather because even though you aren't very covered up, you are at a party - so you'll be indoors. Plus you can always through a coat on top, and take it off once you get their. The shoes, although high, you wont be walking around in puddles because you (typically) get transport to and from a party - and they will be long wearing because you aren't going to be wearing them 24/7 (I don't think anyone can party that hard!).

jeans - £28 // top - £30 // cardigan - £24.99 // bag - £12.99 // shoes - £35 // collar brooch - £8
bangles - £4.99 // nude nail varnish - £2.99 // matte top coat - £4.59

When I think of casual I think lounging about indoor, maybe catching up with some old friends with a cuppa, or heading to the shops! I love to wear jeans, especially dark jeans, because they go with practically anything, and they can be dressed up or down for the perfect look! I wouldn't usually say wedges (or any heels) are casual, but those boots seem to scream casual at me! A shirt can be a simple way of feeling casual, without looking like you're in your pjs! And a big cardigan is perfect for British weather, because it will keep you warm, whilst feeling comfy and looking stylish! I love the all of the colours together, the simple nudes with the contrasting black shoes and dark jeans with a hint of purple! I also think matte nails look more casual than shiny nails, which is why I added the matte top coat (plus it's an amazing product!). And even if I'm feeling casual, I still like to wear jewellery, just not a lot of it. This outfits perfect for British weather because boots and layers are a must have in the cold weather. It's guaranteed to rain in this lovely country of ours, so it's useless having sandals or anything similar on.

jacket - £55 // leggings - £12 // t-shirt - £35 // shoes - £19.99 // rucksack - £28
bracelet - £7.50 // navy nail varnish - £2.99 // croc nail varnish effect - £3.99

I'm not too sure what kind of things you'd do outdoors in British weather, I tend to avoid it as much as possible because who likes to be cold?! I've seen lots of parkas and lots of army jackets around, but they never really appealed to me, I don't think I could pull them off. Until I saw this beauty! It's like a parka, army jacket and a leather jacket combined! That seems like the weirdest combination, but it works! It is perfect for autumn into winter, and the colours and style reminds me of British outdoors! I paired it with the leggings because I love them, they are thick and comfy, they will be keeping me so warm this autumn/winter (I already own them btw!). I then added the large top, because I don't like wearing leggings with a short top, I feel a little exposed! The top has to cover my bum, or I feel naked! Plus the oversized style is really comfy, and baggy/oversized tops always look great with leggings. Then I saw these shoes.. and fell in love! I love brogues, and I love creepers, however I find creepers too "out there" for me. The combination of the two is a match made in heaven, and at £20 they are a complete bargain! The platform style is great for walking in puddles and mud, because you'd just get the water and mud of the platform, without wrecking the shoes completely! A backpack is this casual bag, and for being outdoors you don't really want to be holding a bag (think dropping your favourite bag in a muddy puddle!). Then of course, how can I go outdoors without some bling! I love the skull trend, and this bracelet is perfect and fits in really well with the rest of the outfit! Then I'd paint my nails with the navy, and add a layer of the croc effect - to keep in with the grunge feel of this outfit.

playsuit - £32 // shoes - £22.99 // necklace - £8.99 // bracelet - £13
clutch - £9.99 // earrings - £8 // nails - £4.99 // eyelashes - £5.99

For this outfit/first date I'm going to say that it's for a meal at a nice resturant, followed by drinks after. For a first date you want something comfy, because no one's going to make a great first impression when you're moving about in your chair because your outfits too tight. You want a little glam, because you want to look good, but feel even better. I love the playsuit because it's a lot more modest than a dress, and the long sleeves make sure you're not showing too much skin, but it's a little lot cut which makes it sexy, without being  slutty! I love fake eyelashes and these Katy Perry ones are perfect for a date, because they are quite simple, nothing to flash, but give you enhanced lashes! Simple french nails are perfect, because the shoes and bag are very bling, you need simple things around to stop you from looking overdone. A little bit of jewellery to compliment the neckline of the playsuit, and the sleeve length - all in gold to match the shoes and bag! Plus I love gold and black together - it's a simple way to look glam and chic! This outfit will withstand the British weather because of the long sleeves of the playsuit. You can easily team it with pair of tights for a colder night, plus you're inside the majority of the time. If you do plan to go for a walk (etc) you can easily add a coat, or steal your dates! ;)

skirt - £14.99 // blazer - £36 // top - £14.99 // tights - £4.99
bag - £39 // shoes - £18 // lip stick - £5.49

I don't have a job, so this isn't the most familiar area for me. You want something simple, yet chic - which is why I went for a classic pencil skirt. I teamed it with a black blouse, black boots and black tights because I think an all black outfit, with coloured accessorise's is a simple yet effective way to have a colourful outfit, without looking like you're wearing a rainbow! I love a dipped hem blouse, but for this outfit I would tuck it into the skirt, to show off the skirt. You could then wear it after work, untucked (as long as it's not completely creased of course!). Black tights to cover your legs, and black boots for a bit of warmth, but still keeping style. I added a small bag, because I'm not sure you often have to take much to an office - I guess it all depends on where you're working. But this bag is perfect for all your essentials, and you always have an arm spare for folders, files and books! I added red lipstick, because I know work places can often be strict about nails (again, it depends where you're working) but you're usually allowed to wear makeup, and red lipstick is always classy! I then finished it all off with the beautiful blazer! I love the colour, it adds a lot of interest to the outfit, plus it's covering you up enough so you're not cold outside, but it will probably be thin enough to wear inside. A blazer is a perfect way to make your outfit fit for "work" wear, without looking like you're in a complete skirt suit!

DIY: vest to crop

After seeing the picture on pinterest, which I also posted about here - i fell in love with the vest top DIY, and decided I had to try it out for myself! It was super easy to do, and took about half an hour to finish!

The top to begin with.

The finished result!

DIY: dress to skirt

I've had this dress for ages now, never worn it, it's been on ebay and to a carboot but didn't sell. When it was at the carboot I kept staring at it, thinking the print is really cute! I decided if it didn't sell I'd keep it and do something with it, and this is what happened!:

The dress to begin with

I cut the top part off, above the elasticated area

I was gonna make a bralet from the top part, but it was way to short.

The elasticated part was to big for a waist band, so I pinned it in half then sewed it down.

The finished result! (The top is also a DIY - post will be up in a few days!)

Treating myself shopping list /wishlist

After holding back on my spending (sort of) all summer, it's time to spend! I've got into uni, and with 2 weeks left before I can finally treat myself! I've had a shopping list on my phone for ages, and It's grown! I'm going into town Tuesday, where I hope to make a major dint in the list!

The picture shows not even half of the things on my list because half of what I want is from Primark, and they, of course don't have the best website.

I've needed a white nail varnish for a while (needed- lol!), but I'm not sure if I'll actually get a Barry M because Boots have a 3 for 2 offer on Rimmel atm! Which brings me to the matte top coat - this is actually perfect! I love matte nail varnish, and this beauty will transform any nail varnish to matte! I've also wanted a new mascara - and I've heard great things about Falsies. I've also heard great things about the nose strips, but I haven't seen them anywhere in my town - glad they are on ebay!

I have been planning outfits for Freshers week, because 3 of the events are fancy dress - which is why I need the glasses - geek glasses for a "school disco"! The striped top is for the pirate party, not sure if I'll actually get that one, or one similar - I know it's got to be stripey, then I'll get it a few sizes to big so I can destroy it for the proper pirate look!

The leggings are something I've wanted for ages, but I've been in Matalan a few times and not seen them in there, but I've also seen some on New Look's website, so hopefully one of them will sell them! I need a small black bag, with a long chain, for when I go out and don't want to take lots of things, but I think I will be going to Primark for one! And I've wanted mock suspender tights for ages now, but didn't want tospend £10+ for the Pretty Polly ones, so I was amazed when I saw new look did their own version. And the shoes are because I don't actually own any trainers, and when I go to uni I will be signing up to the gym!

New Look Holidayhop Challenge

This Challenge is to create 5 different outfits under the themes of Travel Style, Poolside, Beach It, Sunset Supper and Beach to Club.

"Imagine you are going to Ibiza for a long weekend. Create a post on your blog stating which items from the New Look store you would wear to complete each of the following outfits on your holiday. You have 5 outfits for 5 occasions, so which items would you wear and why? Head over to the New Look store and start picking your favourite party dressesbikinis and accessories."

To find out more click here. This is my entries!

shorts // top // jacket // bag // shoes // earrings // ring

When you're travelling there's quite a lot to think about - remembering all your important documents, time managing etc! You also have a lot to think about for your outfit. You want to be comfy, because hours on a plane in a tight dress is not the best idea. You want to be warm, because UK weather is typically cold. You also want to be cool enough for the country you're going to - in this cause Ibiza, which will be a lot warmer than UK! You also want a bag with enough room for all your carry ons! For this outfit, I went with comfort, adding jewellery to give the outfit more style. The jacket can easily be taken off once you're in Ibiza, and then you're perfect for hitting the beach!

When you're at the pool, tanning, you can hardly have billions of bangles up your arms? No one likes a ring tan line! I kept things simple, adding a playsuit and belt for when you're walking to the pool, and for when you pop into the hotel/restaurant etc! You always need a big bag, for the towel, book, sun cream, phone & everything else you take! Sunglasses to keep your eyes safe, and false nails because you can't accessorise with jewellery so you might as well dress up your nails!

Sunglasses, big bag and bikini are a must! The beach is perfect for working on your tan! A nice maxi to cover you up on the way there and back - comfy and stylish. Wedges are the perfect thing for sun, they are comfiest of heels, but still have that beach still. Plus the colour of them looks good with the rest of the outfit, and when you get to the beach you can easily slip them of to get the sand in your toes! I also added a headband to tame your crazy wavy beach hair!

Evening meal = time to get glammed up! Of course, you're still in Ibiza, so you don't need no jacket or billions of layers! A simply, floaty (comfy) dress, pretty heels, a statement bag and gold jewellery is perfect. The floaty dress keeps the beach/holiday theme and the heels and gold gives you a bit of glam!

Beach to club - yet all I hear from that is CLUB! Ibiza is made for clubs! A few pre drinks on the beach perhaps? In clubs you don't really want much dangley jewellery, because when you are dancing and jumping around it swings everywhere! Heels are a must, as well as a beautiful dress. A small clutch, on a chain, to keep all your money, phone and other bits in. Simple, yet beautiful!

DIY pearled shirt

First of all I wanted to show you a little DIY I did. Simply sewing pearls onto the collar.

I ended up wearing it today. I went for a meal with my mum and dad for my mums birthday. We went to a cute little pub place, and I had bbq chicken with cheese and bacon, mm! Just realised how bad the quality is on the full length pictures - definitely will need to invest in a new camera...

jeans - primark
top - matalan
vest - primark
shoes - h&m
